I had given such a response to the request of a political party. This official had absconded after being involved in the events of May 9. I used to secretly help the official of this political party. I also met with, I was in touch with the official of the political party. After 32 years of government service, I was supposed to retire on 13 March 2024, I was under a lot of stress due to retirement, I accept all responsibility and surrender to the authorities. 

Former Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaquat Chatta said in his statement that he did not give any instructions to anyone including the Election Commission to rig, he did not order any party to support anyone or interfere in the election process.
